Dusty Dirt roads that leave a taste all of their own on your tongue. Discovering something new every day and feeling blessed because of it. I greatly enjoy my life in the country. When I say country I really, really, mean country. Thought I would try something personal today as we get to know each other. Spring in western Pennsylvania brings back a lot of memories for me. Sitting on the front porch and being eaten alive by mosquitoes at big as bats, twirling in the rain until I fell to the ground from dizziness and catching fireflies and butterflies and asking grandma for an empty mason jar that still smelled like pickles. Even at my age I must admit to the temptation of reliving those days on the same farm I call my home. On most days nothing seems to have changed and on others it seems as if though nothing is the same at all. Life goes on and butterflies still flicker like a temptress in the sun.
What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly. ~Richard Bach
